Solar Panels

At DPS Tableware, we are committed to finding ways to improve our carbon footprint, with the long-term objective of achieving carbon neutrality. As part of this commitment, we have taken significant steps to ensure that our building is powered by clean, renewable energy.
In June 2025, we began to receive the benefits from 144 solar panels, which we installed on the roof of our Staffordshire Head Office warehouse. With a combined capacity of 65.52 kWp, the system can support our day-to-day operational energy requirements, while also enabling surplus electricity to be exported back to the national grid.

EV Charging Points

We have increased the number of electric vehicle (EV) charging points on site from three to five, in response to growing demand for charging facilities for company electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as for use by suppliers and customers. Of our seven company vehicles, six are electric or hybrid.

Internal Parcel Packaging and Materials

Wherever possible, we reuse packaging materials to minimise the need for new packaging. This includes the outer boxes and void filling materials.

Paper-based adhesive tapes are used to assemble and seal the boxes, eliminating the use of plastic tapes in the packing process.

Excess cardboard and plastic waste generated on site is compacted and recycled by Beyondly Global Ltd (formerly Comply Direct Ltd).

Visiting DPS Tableware

Wherever possible, we conduct meetings online to reduce the need for physical travel. To further support this approach, we have introduced a virtual online showroom tour and presentation on our website, enabling customers and partners to engage with our products remotely and helping to minimise travel-related emissions

Inbound Freight

Our primary freight forwarders operate their own environmental and sustainability strategies, which can be viewed via the link below:

In addition, we pay a DPWS Energy Transition Contribution on all our container shipments arriving into Southampton via DP World at DP World Southampton. ‘The Energy Transition Contribution has been implemented to accelerate the journey to zero carbon operations at DP World Southampton by investing in new technologies and operations.’

Outbound Freight

Our palletised freight is managed through Response Logistics via the United Pallet Network (UPN), which operates a carbon neutral network. Using UPN’s carbon calculator, we measure and offset the carbon emissions associated with our pallet deliveries.

Parcel deliveries are managed by DPD, whose sustainability strategy and performance are detailed in their latest sustainability report:
