Dishwasher Cleaning

All Stolzle Lausitz glassware is dishwasher safe and can be washed up at temperatures of 55°C, using mild dishwasher tablets or liquid. When these guidelines are following, noticeable glass changes (such as hazing from glass corrosion) typically do not occur until after 1,000 wash cycles.

For best results:

Ensure glasses do not stand in contact with one another inside the dishwasher, provide space between them.

Avoid contact with items such as cutlery, crockery and cookware, as this may cause scratches or breakages.

Use recommended ware washing racks where possible to provide added protection.

Position glassware so they are free-draining, to ensure water cannot collect at the base, otherwise this can lead to unsightly calcification and staining.

Check the local water hardness and adjust dishwasher settings accordingly, this will minimise limescale marks.

After the end of a rinse cycle, slightly open the dishwasher door to allow stem to escape.

Avoid sudden temperature fluctuations, by not opening the dishwasher until the contents have cooled gradually.

Cleaning by Hand

Although dishwasher cleaning is suitable, handwashing is recommended where possible to help preserve the clarity and finish of your glassware.

For best results:

Use warm water and a soft dishcloth or sponge to wash, adding a small Add a small amount of mild detergent.

Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the surface of the glass.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any remaining residue, and allow glasses to air dry or polish with a lint-free cloth for a clear, streak-free finish.

Handling and Storage

Glassware should always be handled with care, either individually or using appropriate warewashing racks to minimise the risk of damage. Avoid stacking or nesting glasses, as this can lead to chipping or breakage, and do not carry multiple glasses clustered together or by the rim.

For storage, ensure glassware is kept in clean, dry conditions, ideally using warewashing compartment racks to prevent contact between items. Glasses should always be fully dry before being stored to avoid water marks or residue build-up.
